ELeNA

Based in San Francisco, CA, Latin Reggae ensemble ELeNA performs an upbeat fusion of reggae, cumbia, latin jazz, and hip hop. Front Man David Saenz, started playing drums and guitar as a youth in Ecuador. Saenz moved to SF, and later started the band ELeNA in 2020. The ensemble’s signature sound thrives with rocksteady percussion and a criminally smooth horn section. ELeNA shines in its tribute to traditional Afro-Caribbean rhythms while Saenz’s soulful vocals, offered in Spanish and English artfully draw audiences in. This band brings all the good vibes with its uplifting message and danceable grooves.

ELeNA has opened for Los Cafres, Rawayana, and Los Rakas with upcoming performances at UC Theatre, Ashkenaz (Berkeley, CA), Cornerstone Brewery (Berkeley, CA), Lasher Center for the Arts (Walnut Creek) and Crucial Reggae Sundays at the Golden Gate Bandshell (SF,CA).
